Iris Unguicularis (I.stylosa)

Iris Unguicularis, isn’t it wonderful. This one was picked off the plant itself. A truly bright blue winter delight. Grow it against a south facing wall.

Lesser celandine .  pileworth  - Ranunculus ficaria

Said to be Wordsworth’s favourite flower, it is carved on his tomb. The flower Grian , in Gaelic means sun, referring to the sun-like rays of each flower head.
